"When are you finally getting married?" is a question we used to get a lot! It seemed like a reasonable question, considering our 10th dating anniversary was 08/24/24. We were just kids when we started dating, and had a lot to learn about what it meant to fall in love and create a life together..

We knew about each other through mutual friends for many years. Our first date was at a taco shop down the street from our high school called 'Luzitas'.

Every moment thereafter would help create this beautiful decade together. While we look to put a stamp on this amazing decade, we are excited to continue the journey for many more decades!

We were both nervous, though we pretended not to be. Pedro had probably triple-checked the movie times, and Michelle was likely going with the flow. Pedro struggled to strike the impossible balance between "effortlessly casual" and "secretly desperate to impress you" (much like this wedding planning process!) Pedro barely remembers the movie, though Michelle says it was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but what Pedro does remember is sneaking glances at Michelle when the screen lit up her face, the way she laughed at all the right moments, and how he slowly moved his hand closer to hers until they were touching—just barely. But that was enough. That small yet meaningful gesture was the spark that would light the path for a decade of unforgettable experiences together.
